Stainless Steel 317 is an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy that boasts enhanced corrosion resistance compared to its 316 counterpart. Typically, it contains 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum. This increased molybdenum content gives it exceptional resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion. In terms of mechanical properties, it has a tensile strength of around 515 MPa, a yield strength of 205 MPa, and maintains good elongation and toughness even at higher temperatures. SS 317 Pipes are known for their excellent weldability, formability, and long-term durability, making them a great choice for challenging and corrosive environments.
