904L Stainless Steel Heat Exchanger Tubing is an austenitic stainless steel alloy containing high nickel (23–28%), chromium (19–23%), with additions of copper and molybdenum. Such a composition provides superior resistance to crevice corrosion, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking in environments rich in chlorides and acidic. The tubing has superior mechanical properties with tensile strength in the range 490–710 MPa and yield strength near 220 MPa. It retains its integrity at high temperatures and corrosive environments, while possessing good weldability and formability for precise manufacturing and heat exchanger fabrication.
