Super duplex steel mechanical tubing is usually manufactured from grades such as UNS S32750 and S32760, with a balanced ferritic-austenitic microstructure. These alloys contain high levels of chromium (24–26%), nickel (6–8%), molybdenum (3–5%), and nitrogen, which provide excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-stress corrosion cracking. The alloys are mechanically high in yield and tensile strength, have very good impact resistance, and perform well under fatigue.
