Super duplex steel mechanical tubing is usually manufactured from grades such as UNS S32750 and S32760, with a balanced ferritic-austenitic microstructure. These alloys contain high levels of chromium (24–26%), nickel (6–8%), molybdenum (3–5%), and nitrogen, which provide excellent resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride-stress corrosion cracking. The alloys are mechanically high in yield and tensile strength, have very good impact resistance, and perform well under fatigue. The tubing is made without welding, having the same strength in every part of its length.
